We have an on-going relationship with two clubs in La Romana in the Dominican Republic. Our club, with support from the Rotary Foundation, provided two water filtration units for the Good Samaritan Hospital in La Romana. The latest one, installed in March, 2005, provided ultra pure water for use in a new  hemodialysis unit at the hospital. This year we are applying for a large grant to help fund an eldely housing project in La Romana.

This past April, 6 young women and three chaperones from our local Interact Club travelled to La Romana, DR. They took school supplies to donate to children in three schools, helped paint an out building and a wall mural at the Good Samaritan Hospital, visited three Bateys to distribute donated clothing, and helped with a medical clinic.

We are in contact with three Rotary Clubs in Poland. We are exploring the opportunity to work with them to help fund a large project to provide medical equipment for chronically ill children requiring mechanical ventilation at home.
